HVAC heat exchanger

December 27th, 2012

HVAC (heating, ventilation, air conditioning) is the technology which helps maintain a consistent indoor temperature. Using HVAC the conditions in a closed area can be maintained using fresh air from outside. It can be kept warm or cool as required. The heating effect is produced by using a boiler and heat is transferred using water and heat transfer takes place by convection through circulation of water. Ventilation includes the exchange of air with the outside and also circulation of air within the building and maintain an acceptable level of air quality in a closed atmosphere. Air conditioning is provided through the removal of heat through a process called the refrigeration cycle. As the liquid refrigerant cycles and evaporates it absorbs energy from air, repeats the cycle. In this process heat is absorbed from indoors which results in cooling of the building. There has been a consistent effort to make HVAC more efficient.

Wood Boiler Heat Exchanger

Wood Boiler Heat Exchanger

The wood boiler heat exchanger is a perfect alternative to the indoor boiler. Since the last 10 years time, the wood boiler has received incredible demand. Though these heat exchangers are high and incredible in demand, they are not environmental friendly. The reason is, they emit huge smoke and discharge waste material. When the heating process is not properly accomplished, the gas emitted will deform as black smoke. The fire box is surrounded by a heated water jacket, which thereby transforms the water from one end to other end. The wood boiler heat exchanger is quite essential while using the outdoor wood boiler. It absorbs adequate heat that is crucial for the heating functionality. Since the wood boiler heat exchanger emits incredible amount of carbon footprint and impacts the environment, it is wise not to use them. In case if it is quite substantive, you can at least limit its usage.

Plate fin Heat Exchanger

Any heat exchanger’s job is to exchange heat between two same or different types of materials. A plate-fin heat exchanger is a type of heat exchanger design that uses plates and finned chambers to exchange heat between fluids. It is often classified as a compact heat exchanger to emphasize its comparatively high heat transfer surface area to volume ratio. The plate-fin heat exchanger is broadly used in many industries, including the aerospace production area for its compact size and lightweight features, as well as in cryogenics where its capability to make possible the heat transfer with small temperature differences is utilized.

The passages, which are used in plate fin heat exchanger, are usually called sandwich passages, which intensify the proficiency of the whole machine. Quite a few fin arrangements are featured in a plate fin heat exchanger. These contain wavy fins, straight fins and offset fins. This heat exchanger has some counter and cross flow designs.

Electrical Heat Exchangers

December 9th, 2012

There are several types of heat exchangers in market. One of them is Electrical Heat Exchanger. These types of exchangers are specially designed for the proficient transfer of heat from one fluid to another fluid over solid surface. This product finds out the primary application in cooking mash, grain and starch slurry. Fluid Heat Transfer systems – These types of systems are designed for closed loop temperature control of water or glycol/water mixtures. Tempered Water systems – This is a cost effective competent water system, which is made in order to maintain the process temperature with circulated water that has been cooled or heated to the required set point. Tempered Water Systems – This is another lucrative, compact tempered water system, which is made for processing temperature with distributed water that has been cooled or heated to the required set point. Closed circuit, direct injection or even isolated circuit process cooling or heating. It is obtainable single and dual, in both configurations.
